Station 02 / Minimums

Low minimums, and why screen printing suits a run.

Every colour in your design gets its own screen. The artwork is separated into its colours, each colour is exposed onto a screen, and the screens are lined up on the press so every layer lands in the same place.

That setup is the same work for a short run as for a long one, which is why screen printing suits a run and one-offs go to DTG. Tell us your quantity and we confirm the minimum with your quote.

Some people call it silk screening. It is the same process, and silk screening in Vancouver has its own page.

Those belong on DTG printing, which has no minimum and prints a photo as a photo.

Vector files are best: AI, EPS, PDF or SVG. A PNG or TIFF at 300 DPI also works.

01What is the minimum order for screen printing?

Our minimums are low and depend on the garment and the print method. Tell us your quantity in the quote form and we will confirm it with your quote. For one-offs and small runs, DTG printing has no minimum.

02How long does a screen printing order take?

Tell us the date you need the order in hand and we confirm it with your quote. Rush orders available.

03Can I see a sample before the full run?

Yes. We can provide a pre-production sample for a small fee, so you can check the print before we run the full order.

04What can you screen print on?

T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tank tops, polo shirts and tote bags. Ask us about anything else.

05Can you match my brand colours?

Yes. We use the Pantone colour matching system. Send the Pantone code with your artwork.

06What file should I send?

Vector files are best (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) because they scale cleanly. A high-resolution PNG or TIFF at 300 DPI also works. If your file is not print-ready, send it anyway and we will help.

07Do you help with the design?

Yes. Our in-house designers can create or adjust your design for a small additional fee.

08Is silk screening the same as screen printing?

Yes. Silk screening is the older name for the same process. We keep a page for silk screening in Vancouver because people search for both.

09How do I care for screen-printed apparel?

Wash inside out in cold water, then air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
