What we embroider.
Anything with a fabric that holds a stitch. These six cover most of the orders we see.
Polos
The classic staff shirt. A stitched logo on a polo looks right at a front desk and on a job site. Styles and colours: custom polo shirts in Vancouver.Jackets and fleece
Soft shells, insulated jackets, vests and fleece. Heavier fabric holds stitching well, so a jacket can carry a larger logo on the back.Hats and toques

Totes, backpacks and duffels for events and staff kits. When a design is too large to stitch, custom embroidered patches are sewn on instead.
Station 03 / Logo to stitch
From your logo to a stitch file.
Embroidery does not print your file. A machine follows a stitch file, which tells it where each needle goes, in which thread and in which order. Getting that file right is most of the work.

Your artwork
Send the logo you have. A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) is best, but a clear PNG works too.

The stitch file
We digitize the logo: stitch types, direction and density, sized for the spot it goes on. Very thin lines and tiny text get adjusted so they stay readable in thread.
- 03
Thread colours
We match each colour in your logo to the closest thread and show them on the mockup, so you see what will be stitched.
- 04
The finished piece
Once you approve the mockup we stitch the run. Your stitch file is kept for the next order.
Station 04 / Uniforms
Uniforms that match on every reorder.
A lot of our embroidery is for businesses: staff polos, crew jackets, caps for the whole team. A uniform only works if the tenth order looks like the first.
- Same file
- Your stitch file is kept on record. A reorder runs from the same file, so the logo matches what you already have.
- Same threads
- The thread colours from your approved mockup are noted with your order and used again.
- Same placement
- Size and position on each garment are recorded, so the logo sits in the same spot on every piece.
- New staff
- Need three more polos for new hires? Send the sizes, and a name for each piece if you want one, and we match the last order.
Station 05 / Hats
Hats, stitched on the front.
Hats are some of the most popular pieces we embroider. A stitched logo on a cap front has texture and depth that a print does not, and a second logo can go on the side or the back.

- A foam or cotton front with a mesh back.

- Unstructured and soft, best with a simpler logo.

Send the garment, the quantity and your logo in the quote form. We reply within one business day. - 02
Mockup
We build the stitch file and send a digital mockup with the placement and the thread colours. Nothing is stitched until you approve it. - 03
Production in-house
Your order is stitched by our team of about 20 at 951 East Kent Ave N in Vancouver. Rush orders available. - 04
Pickup or delivery
Pick up at the shop, Monday to Friday, or have the order delivered.
Only need a few pieces? Embroidery Express is a one-hour appointment at the shop for up to 6 items.

Minimums, digitizing, colours and reorders.
01What is the minimum order for custom embroidery?
Our minimums are low and depend on the garment. Tell us your quantity in the [quote form](#quote) and we confirm it with your quote. For a few pieces, book Embroidery Express.
02What is digitizing, and do I need to do it?
Digitizing turns your logo into a stitch file, the set of instructions an embroidery machine follows. You do not need to do it. Send the logo file you have and we build the stitch file as part of your order.
03Can you match my brand colours?
We match each colour in your logo to the closest thread colour and show them on your mockup. If you have Pantone references, include them in the quote form.
04Will my reorder match the first order?
Yes. We keep your stitch file, the thread colours and the placement on record, so a reorder for new staff matches the pieces you already have.
05Can you embroider garments I already have?
Often, yes. Tell us what the garments are and how many in the quote form. Some fabrics, like thin stretch material, are not a good fit for stitching, and we will tell you before we start.
06Embroidery or screen printing: which should I choose?
Embroidery suits logos on polos, jackets, hats and uniforms. It has texture and lasts as long as the garment. Screen printing suits large designs across a t-shirt or the back of a hoodie. Many orders use both, and both are done in our shop. See screen printing in Vancouver.
